Here’s an example of a live hybrid event. Through the pandemic we provided live online events, now as well as being broadcast online, thankfully a live audience can also attend.
Client: Tipperary County Council
Our Role: Produce a live event to celebrate the 2022 All Ireland Minor Hurling Champions
Project Description
On July 3rd 2022 a late Tipperary goal secured the All Ireland minor hurling title for the Premier County at Nowlan Park, Kilkenny. The 1-17 to 1-16 victory by James Woodlock’s side over Offaly was recalled on the day at the event in an appropriate venue – The Dome at Semple Stadium. During the pandemic when audiences couldn’t join in the celebrations, Ballywire’s format was adopted by Tipperary’s local authority to celebrate great deeds by the county citizens such as Rachael Blackmore, Sam Bennett and the 2020 Munster Championship winning Premier senior footballers.
The Ballywire format sees nominated politicians interviewed in their electoral areas in advance of the live event and broadcast during the live stream. We also chat to the recipients of the county’s highest accolade to learn about the people who helped shaped their successes.
In the case of the All Ireland winning minor team we chatted to panel and backroom team members to understand how they planned for success. These interviews are then played out during the live stream along with match highlights, in this case kindly supplied by TG4.
