It’s with great sadness that the Ballywire crew learned that Irish rugby star Jamie Heaslip has hung up the boots on medical advice. Rugby fans found out the news on the Naas man’s instagram feed.

It will come as no surprise to hear that Jamie was one of the most sought after brand ambassadors in the history of Irish professional rugby and sport in general. The Ballywire crew collaborated with Jamie on a number of projects including the famous Rugby Country activation by Guinness.

Top copywriter Nick McGivney wrote an incredible script to highlight Jamie’s skillset which puts into context his loss to the international scene.

The agency Cybercom managed the digital side and Ballywire captured the Kildare mans talents on the training pitch and edited the final piece for online use. No better time to reflect on what Jamie brought to the rugby party.
